Who is responsible for your information

The person responsible for the protection of personal information within the company is its president. You can reach them by email at admin@legroupeexclusif.com, by telephone at 514-659-9802, or by mail at the address above.

What we collect

Only what you enter in the estimate request form on this site. We buy no lists and collect your information nowhere else.

• Your name and telephone number. Required: without them we cannot call you back.
• Your email address and city. Optional.
• The project type — residential or commercial — and the kind of space: garage, basement, parking garage, warehouse, retail or other.
• The approximate square footage and the message you write.

The form also records automatically: the page your request came from, the language you were browsing in, the page that referred you to us, your browser’s identification, and the time of submission. These let us answer in the right language, tell a real request from an automated one, and know which pages bring real enquiries.

The form contains a hidden trap field aimed at bots. Anything written in it is never stored: it only marks a request as doubtful, and never causes one to be discarded.

Why we collect it

• To call you back and schedule an on-site estimate.
• To prepare a quote and, if you accept it, to carry out the work and invoice you.
• To keep the records our accounting, contractual and warranty obligations require us to keep.

Nothing else. No profiling, no targeted advertising, no decision made about you automatically. We neither sell nor rent your information to anyone.

Your consent

By sending the form you consent to our using this information for the purposes described above. You may withdraw that consent at any time: write to us and we will stop contacting you and delete your request, except what the law requires us to keep.

Where your information is kept

In a Google Cloud Firestore database hosted in the northamerica-northeast1 region, in Montreal. Your information does not leave Canada. That choice is permanent.

Google acts as host on our behalf and does not use your information for its own purposes. Our mailboxes, however, are hosted by Migadu, whose servers are in Europe: if you write to us or we reply by email, that exchange travels outside Canada.

Who can see it

Only Le Groupe Exclusif accounts authorised to open our password-protected administration console. No visitor to this site can read the requests received. A request judged to be junk is marked as such rather than removed. Permanent deletion does exist — it is what lets us honour your right to erasure — but it is limited to those same accounts and requires typing a confirmation word, so it cannot happen by accident.

We disclose your information to a third party only where it is necessary to carry out your work — a supplier delivering to your address, for instance — or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

A request that leads to no project is kept for as long as it could still become one, then destroyed. The file for a completed project is kept for as long as our obligations require: six years after the financial year concerned for accounting records, and for the term of the five-year warranty we offer on our work. After those periods the file is destroyed.

You may ask sooner for the deletion of a request that led to no contract.

Cookies and trackers

By default, this site uses none: no cookies, no audience measurement and no script from another domain loads until you make a choice in the banner shown on your first visit.

If you click “Accept”, we load the Google Ads tag (gtag.js, by Google LLC). It sets advertising cookies (whose names start with _gcl) used only to measure whether a visit that came from one of our ads led to an estimate request. Ad personalization (remarketing) stays off. Google may process this data outside Canada, notably in the United States, under its own privacy terms.

If you click “Decline”, nothing loads. Either way, your choice is kept in your browser’s local storage (key lge-consent): it is the only thing this site stores there. You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookies” link at the bottom of every page; if you withdraw your consent, the Google Ads cookies are deleted.

The tag does not read the form: nothing you type leaves the site until you send the form, and it then goes to our database in Canada, not to Google Ads.

One clarification, because it is true of every website: displaying a page means asking a server for it, and that server — Google, through a delivery network that served this page from Montreal — sees the IP address and browser type making the request, as any host does. Those technical logs exist to deliver and protect the site, not to profile you, and we do not consult them.

Your rights

• Access — to be given the information we hold about you.
• Correction — to have information that is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous corrected.
• Withdrawal of consent — to require that we stop using your information.
• Deletion and de-indexing — to have information taken out of circulation and a hyperlink to it removed.
• Portability — to receive the information you gave us in a structured, commonly used technological format.

Write to admin@legroupeexclusif.com. We answer within 30 days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

If there is a confidentiality incident

Should an incident arise presenting a risk of serious injury, we would promptly notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and every person concerned, and would keep the register the law requires.

Changes

Any change to this policy is published on this page together with the date it takes effect. The version shown here is the only one in force.
